This past summer was my parent’s 50th anniversary. My parents are not financially equipped to take everyone to the the Caribbean for a big anniversary like I know some grandparents can. But we wanted to celebrate all the same.
My family, my sister’s family and my parents headed to the Villa Roma Resort in the Catskills. We spent 3 fun filled days and nights enjoying everything the resort offers. There are go carts, a paintball shooting range, climbing walls, pools, hiking trails, and lots more. Every afternoon we played Bingo (love it!) and at night there were shows after dinner. In the dining room, we had the same assigned table and the food was good as well. The package we had included breakfast and dinner. It was kind of like being on a cruise on land. The resort is very family friendly, not crazy expensive and the perfect place for an extended family to gather for a celebration.
How did we pay for our stay? We used my Chase Sapphire Preferred card. I used the Sapphire Preferred card because the payment was for travel/hotel and I earn 2x Chase Ultimate Rewards miles per $ spent on the room and on any of our additional charges at the resort.
