Card Highlights

Chase Ritz Carlton Rewards card is a Credit Card

With a credit card, you can carry a balance and accrue interest if necessary. Note this is not advised by me. The points game does not work well, if you are carrying a balance and accruing interest. See #4 in Let’s Get Started To Earning Free Travel.

Card Rewards

Annual Fee

$450 per year

No Additional Cardholder Fees

There are no additional cardholder fees.

Earn Points on Spending

1. Earn 6 points per $1 at any participating Ritz-Carlton hotel or worldwide partner hotels including JW Marriott®, EDITION®, Autograph Collection® Hotels, Renaissance Hotels and Marriott Hotels & Resorts.

2. Earn 3 points per $1 spent on airline tickets purchased directly from the airline, and at car rental agencies and restaurants.

3. Earn 2 point per $1 spent on all other purchases made with your card

Receive an Extra Free Night

Receive 1 free night every year after your card member anniversary at any property with a redemption level up to 85,000 points. And, you can use up to 15,000 Points to expand the value of your Free Night Award.

No Foreign Transaction Fees

Pay no foreign transaction fees when you use your card on purchases made outside the United States.

Credit For Global Entry Fee

Pay for Global Entry using your Ritz-Carlton Rewards Credit Card to pay your application fee (currently $100) and receive a $100 statement credit.

$300 Annual Travel Credit 

$300 annual calendar year travel credit to use for seat upgrades, baggage fees and preferred lounge memberships or passes, etc.  Unlike with other cards at this level, you must use the card for the prior purchases and call 1-855-896-2222 after using your card to apply the credit. (AKA annoying!)

Automatic Gold Elite Status 

You get Gold Elite status in the Ritz-Carlton Rewards program each account anniversary year as a Cardmember and you get 15 elite night credits each calendar year toward your next Elite membership level. You can achieve Platinum Elite Status if you spend $75,000 on purchases each account calendar year.  You can read more about Ritz-Carlton Rewards Elite Status here.

Priority Pass Select Membership

Receive a complimentary annual Priority Pass Select membership with access to over 900 VIP airport lounges in over 400 cities worldwide (~$399 retail value).

$100 Hotel Credit

You get a $100 credit for qualifying dining, spa or other hotel recreational activities. You can use the credit with any paid stay at The Ritz-Carlton of two nights or more. Advance reservations are required. You need to call to reserve your Hotel Credit at 1-800-542-8680.

$100 Airline Credit

A $100 airline credit when you book two to five passengers on a qualifying airline itinerary with The Ritz-Carlton Rewards Credit Card at visadiscountair.com/ritzcarltoncard.  Note, the primary cardmember must be one of the passengers.  Note this is a benefit of all Visa Infinite cards.

Trip Cancellation/Interruption Insurance

If you purchase a portion of your trip with your card, you may be able to take advantage of the Trip Cancellation/Interruption Insurance benefit if necessary.  Read more here.
