One silly way to use your hotel points is to transfer them to airlines for miles. United MileagePlus has a limited time offer that will give u a 30% bonus on these transfers. Normally, the exchange ratios between the hotel points and United Mileage Plus miles are not great. Here are some examples…..
IHG Rewards Club-Exchange 10,000 IHG Rewards Points for 2,000 MileagePlus miles
World of Hyatt-Exchange 5,000 World of Hyatt Points for 2,000 MileagePlus miles
Choice Privileges -Exchange 15,000 Choice Privileges Points for 3000 MileagePlus miles
Wyndham Rewards-Exchange 6,000 Wyndham Rewards Points for 1200 MileagePlus Miles
You do a little better with Marriott to most airlines because you can transfer 3 Marriott points to receive 1 airline mile. Whenever you transfer 60,000 points, you get a 10,000 point bonus. So if you have 60,000 points, you can yield 30,000 miles…60,000 becomes 20,000 miles and the extra 10,000 that you get.
Regardless of which hotel program the points are coming from, there is through October 31, 2024, a 30% bonus on these transfers, up to 25,000 miles. To take advantage of this offer, you must first REGISTER and then convert your hotel points into United MileagePlus miles by October 31, 2024.
