In Whister, we are staying in a studio suite with a full kitchen! at The Westin Resort and Spa, Whistler.  This hotel is an SPG Category 5 hotel, and I booked the suite for 5 nights using 48,000 Starwood points.  The hotel suite was 12,000 points per night and when you book using Starpoints, you get the 5th night free. The hotel suite would have cost about $180 per night. I saved about $900 using Starpoints.

I want to note that based on the low price of the room, economically, we would have been better off just paying for the room instead of using 48,000 Starpoints. However, I kind of sold Rob on the trip by telling him it would be free, so I sucked it up and used the points.  It has left me with a very low Starwood balance.  🙁   I have our hotels figured out for December for our big trip to Hawaii, so hopefully, won’t need any Starpoints any time soon.  Gulp!

A huge shout out to CINDY GREENSTEIN, aka The Points Mom, for helping me book our flights to Greece using points. Money wise it would have cost $12k. I learned so much from her! Contact her. You will not be disappointed.
