Since the end of 2020, Rob and I have been applying for a lot of cards! And we have scored more than 1/2 million rewards from many of these unprecedented offers due to covid.
200,000 JetBlue TrueBlue Points
First, we both took advantage of the 100,000 JetBlue bonus offer with the JetBlue Plus Mastercard. We are awaiting those 200,000 points as I have made sure we have both met all of the spending requirements.
And maybe another 200,000 JetBlue TrueBlue Points
Well, the business cards had 100K bonus offers too. Before I knew it, I was applying for those also for Rob’s law firm and for my Points Mom business. We are still jumping thru hoops to get these approved and have had to send them additional documentation (license, passport, ss card, bank statement) over the last few weeks. We still await both of our decisions as to whether we got the cards. TBD…
225,000 American Express Membership Rewards Points
95,000 from Amex Business Gold– I kept waiting to see when Rob’s referral offer to me for the American Express Business Gold card would be increased. This finally happened recently. Rob referred me for 25,000 points to him as a referral bonus and 70,000 points to me if I can spend $10k in 3 months. Tough spend requirement but I will make sure I do. Note, the current limited time public offer for the Amex Business Gold card is now 70,000 points too.
130,000 from Amex Platinum for Rob-Me, Rob, Jessie and Mason were recently in the Delta Sky Club. We had to pay the $39 guest fee for Mason as my three additional cardmembers (for $175) only account for Rob, Jessie and my college son, Daniel. That annoyance lead me to quickly search my Amex account (while in the lounge) to see the offer (and my referral offer) for referring Rob to an Amex Platinum. Wow, 100k for him (for a $5k/6 month spend) and 30k for me. I jumped at it. Now, I just need to remember to take advantage of all of the benefits on two Platinum cards!
