I recommend the Chase Ink Business Unlimited® Credit Card even when the sign-up bonus is not increased, so you can imagine how good I think it is when it is raised for a limited time. Yes, it is that good!
Unfortunately, the increased offer of 90,000 points that many of us have already taken advantage of is slotted to end on November 7, 2024. Darn!
If you are wondering why I like this card so much, here are all of the details about it, its rewards, and some other cards that pair quite nicely with the Chase Ink Business Unlimited® Credit Card.
Fees
The card has no annual fee and no additional employee cardholder fees, but be careful if you are traveling outside the U.S., as it does have foreign transaction fees.
Earn Cash Back on Spending
With the card, you earn cash back that is tracked as points in the Chase Ultimate Rewards program. Each cent earned in Cash Back Rewards is equal to 1 point.
1. You earn 1.5% CASH BACK on every purchase.
2. You earn 5% cash back on Lyft rides through March 2025.
Using Your Points As Cash Back
Your points can be redeemed for cash back. When you use points to redeem for cash, each point is worth $0.01 (one cent), which means that 100 points equals $1 in redemption value. Like other cash-back cards, you can use the points you earn on the card as a statement credit or a cash deposit into your bank account.
This means that the current 90,000 point bonus is worth at least $900 when redeemed as cash.
Using Your Points Through Chase Ultimate Rewards For Travel
Your points can be redeemed as Ultimate Rewards Points if you also have the Chase Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card, Chase Sapphire Preferred® Credit Card or the Chase Sapphire Reserve® Credit Card.
There are two main ways to use your Ultimate Rewards points:
1. Redeem for travel through Chase Travel- When you use points to redeem for travel through the Chase Travel portal, each point is worth more than 1 cent. Each point is worth either $0.0125 or $0.015 depending on which other Chase card that you have.
a. If you also have a Chase Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card or Chase Sapphire Preferred® Credit Card each point is worth $0.0125 which means that 100 points equals $1.25 in redemption value.
b. If you also have a Chase Sapphire Reserve® Credit Card each point is worth $0.015 which means that 100 points equals $1.50 in redemption value.
This means that the current 90,000 point bonus is worth at least $1125 or $1350 respectively when redeemed for travel through Chase.
2. Transfer Points To Partners (my favorite way to use the points)-You can transfer points to participating frequent travel programs at 1:1 meaning 1000 Ultimate Rewards points equal 1000 partner miles/points. You can, at times, get even more than 1:1 with a sporadic transfer bonus. Some of my favorite transfer partners are United, JetBlue, and World Of Hyatt. But there are so many other international ones as well. You never know how well you are going to do with a transfer until you do a rewards search on the partner’s site. Then you will know whether it makes sense to transfer.
This means that the current 90,000 point bonus is worth A LOT and often more than $1125 or $1350, depending on how well you do with the partner.
