Become A Member of Kimpton Karma Rewards Here

Kimpton Hotels are boutique hotels.  Currently there are 64 hotels in 30 cities nationwide.  You can check out the hotels here.  Kimpton was just acquired by IHG but their loyalty program will continue to run separately.

To me, these Kimpton hotels do not seem very family oriented.  Howvever, they could be more for a getaway for Rob and I without the kids.

The rewards program associated with Kimpton Hotels is called Kimpton Karma Rewards.  Kimptom Karma Rewards is not a hotel rewards club in which you earn points and can then redeem those points for free nights.  Rather, it is more of a recognition program.  As a member of the club, you will get certain benefits and privileges that provide convenience when you stay at a Kimpton Resort depending on your tier level.

You “earn Kimpton Karma” by staying at Kimpton Hotels and dining at Kimpton restaurants.  You can check out the restaurants here.  As your Kimpton Karma grows, you reach new tiers unleashing more loyalty perks.  These perks can be special offers, room upgrades and late check-out, etc.  There are four tiers, Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3 and the highest tier is the Inner Circle.  You can check out the benefits in each tier level here.  Note that the tier progress is based only on eligible stays and nights accumulated within a calendar year (January 1-December 31).  Membership is complimentary.

Ok, lets talk about what is most important to me, staying for free!

At every tier level you have the ability to earn free nights.  But it is hard.  Maybe if you or your spouse travels for business and frequently stays at a Kimpton resort, a free night or 2 is attainable, but if not, earning free nights is very difficult.

There are two ways to earn complimentary night rewards. You will either receive a free night after 7 eligible stays or 20 eligible nights at Kimpton hotels, whichever comes first.

Eligible stays are typically reserved by providing your Kimpton Karam ID and booking via one of the following methods:

Reserving on www.KimptonHotels.com
Calling 1-800-KIMPTON
Reserving a negotiated rate through your company travel agent or system
Note: only one room per stay can be eligible for rewards

You should see your complimentary hotel night reward posted within 24 hours after you complete your 7th eligible stay or 20th eligible night.

Once the free night stay credits are in your account, these credits will stay in your account year after year as long as you have an eligible stay completed within the past 24 months.

To redeem your free night, you call Karma Advisors at 1-888-695-4678.  They can check availability and book the reward night for you.

Rewards can be redeemed up to one year from date of issue and your stay must be completed before expiration date.

Good Luck!

A huge shout out to CINDY GREENSTEIN, aka The Points Mom, for helping me book our flights to Greece using points. Money wise it would have cost $12k. I learned so much from her! Contact her. You will not be disappointed.
