As a member of the Marriott Bonvoy program, you can EARN Points. You can then USE these Points for free travel. As a member of the program, you also have the opportunity to gain Elite Status by paying for stays at Marriott Bonvoy Resorts or by using one of the program’s credit cards. Elite status offers additional membership perks and benefits.
The combined program has numerous hotel brands with locations worldwide. The brands are Luxury, Premium, Select, Longer Stays and Collections. You can read about what resorts are included in each brand here.
The program divides its hotels into ascending categories, in their case eight, with the more budget-friendly, full-service hotels in the lower categories and the top-shelf luxury hotels in the upper categories. The Hotel Category determines the number of points required for a complimentary night during peak and off-peak time periods as well as the points required for a standard room.
