Now that you know how to achieve American AAdvantage Elite Status, what do you get with this status? Here are just SOME of the Gold, Platinum, Platinum Pro and Executive Platinum Membership Benefits. To see the complete details of all of the benefits of each level, you can click here.

Complimentary upgrades-depending on your level, you can get flight upgrades prior to your departure. The higher your level is, the less work you will need to do to get an upgrade and the earlier you get the upgrade.

AAdvantage Mile Bonuses on flights– Gold members receive a 40 percent elite AAdvantage mileage bonus, Platinum-60%, Platinum Pro-80% and Executive Platinum-120%!

Waived baggage fees-The benefit gets better the higher you move up in status.

Complimentary Main Cabin Extra Seats-Score better seats on the plane as an Elite Status member.

Also, starting in March 2022, if you qualify for AAdvantage Platinum Pro or higher AND fly a minimum of 30 flights, you’ll unlock Loyalty Choice Rewards. These rewards are for American Airlines  benefits and starting in March, 2025, depending on your Loyalty point level, you can choose World of Hyatt Explorist status or World of Hyatt Free Night Awards as your reward choice. 

There are 5 Loyalty Choice Rewards levels-1,2,3,4 and 5. To reach any level you need 30 flights and 125,000 Loyalty Points for Level 1, 200,000 Loyalty Points for Level 2, 350,000 Loyalty Points for Level 3, 550,000 Loyalty Points for Level 4 and 750,000 Loyalty Points for Level 5.
