American Express Green Card is a Charge Card
With a charge card, there are no interest charges because you pay your balance in full each month. If you become eligible, you may be given the option to extend payment over time on certain charges using Amex’s Pay Over Time feature(s). If you use these features, you may accrue interest on any charges you choose to pay over time. But remember, this is not advised by me. The points game does not work well, if you are carrying a balance and accruing interest. See #4 in Let’s Get Started To Earning Free Travel.

There is a $150 annual fee.

Earn 3x points per dollar at restaurants WORLDWIDE.
Clear Credit
Receive up to $189 per calendar year in statement credits, when you pay for your CLEAR membership with the American Express Green Card
$100 LoungeBuddy Credit
If you use your card to purchase lounge access through LoungeBuddy you receive up to $100 in statement credits per calendar year.
No Foreign Transaction Fees
Pay no foreign transaction fees when you use your card on purchases made outside the United States.

Trip Cancel Guard
Provides up to 75% reimbursement if you cancel your eligible nonrefundable flight at least two full calendar days before. Read more here.
Purchase Protection
Purchase Protection protects eligible purchases made with the Card in the event they are accidentally damaged, stolen, or lost for up to 90 days from the date of purchase.
Extended Warranty
When you use your card for eligible purchases, you can get up to one extra year added to the original manufacturer’s warranty. Applies to warranties of 5 years or less. Some exclusions apply. Find out more here.
