Amex Didn’t Anticipate This Glitch When They Were Adding Benefits To The Hilton Aspire Card

Unknown 2One of the benefits of the Hilton Honors Aspire card is an airline credit, similar to the one that you get with an Amex Platinum card.   With the Hilton Aspire, you receive a $250 AIRLINE FEE CREDIT for incidental fees charged by the airline to your card each calendar year.  These incidental fees include lounge access.

However, despite the fact that I had Delta as my selected airline, I could not use this card for guest fees for my boys at the Delta Skyclub.  I was able to enter as an Amex Platunum cardholder, but when I went to pay for the guest fees, the lounge would only let me pay with my Platinum.

I do not think that Amex anticipated this little glitch when they made the $250 airline fee credit for this card.  IMO Amex should give you a heads up that if your choose Delta as your airline, you will NOT be able to use this card on incidentals for Delta lounge fees.

Amex, you need to fix this!!!

A huge shout out to CINDY GREENSTEIN, aka The Points Mom, for helping me book our flights to Greece using points. Money wise it would have cost $12k. I learned so much from her! Contact her. You will not be disappointed.
