Apply For The Amex Everyday Preferred Card Here

I traded in my American Express Premier Rewards Gold Card in favor of the Amex Everyday Preferred Card.  Upon calling to cancel my gold card, Amex offered me $150 in statement credits to keep the card, $75 now and $75 after I met a spend threshold. Despite the fact that this would have technically brought the annual fee down to $25 ($175-$150), I still canceled the card. I want to start earning the 3x points on my groceries with my Everyday Preferred card (I don’t want to be forced to use the Gold card) and I would have had to deal with the annual fee the following year anyway. I would have just been delaying the inevitable. But it is nice to see that Amex is willing to negotiate, like Citi and unlike Chase!

A huge shout out to CINDY GREENSTEIN, aka The Points Mom, for helping me book our flights to Greece using points. Money wise it would have cost $12k. I learned so much from her! Contact her. You will not be disappointed.
