This is not me

If you have a specific destination in mind as to where you want to travel, you may gear you credit card bonuses and spending to earn miles/points for that destination.  Unfortunately, when the times comes to book, you sometimes may fall short of your goal.

This happens to me and when it does I either supplement an extra flight or night or 2 using cash.  But many times, I put that destination on the back burner and just pick somehere else to travel, a destination where it is easier to use what balance of miles/point I do have.  In fact, I may be changing our plan this winter as I am trying to accumulate Starwood points but may come up short.

There are so many places that my family and I want to go  that it is easy for me to just ditch our plan and head somewhere else.  We will get to the original destination eventually.  I just need to come up with a different (better) miles/points earning strategy….one of my favorite things to do!

... I saved $700 in annual fees and scored 120,000 worth of bonus points. I also got $100 off a pair of fancy headphones and $200 worth of airline gift cards. ....

A huge shout out to CINDY GREENSTEIN, aka The Points Mom, for helping me book our flights to Greece using points. Money wise it would have cost $12k. I learned so much from her! Contact her. You will not be disappointed.
