We had a 6am flight out of Vancouver after our recent FREE ski trip to Whistler this past spring break.  We heeded to the 2 hour in advance rule for international flights and everything went smoothly, so we found ourselves with extra time in the airport.  The Plaza Premium Lounge (a Priority Pass Select Lounge) was the perfect place to wait.  It was spacious, had lots of tvs and offered a HOT breakfast, eggs and sausage as well as bagels, cereal, fruit, salads and more.  We found our own private little sitting room with a private tv and enjoyed our breakfast away from the hustle of the main airport.  Everyone except for Rob that is…

You see, I was able to access the lounge for free because my American Express Business Platinum card allows me to enroll in Priority Pass Select at no additional cost.  This program gives me access to numerous airport lounges that are part of the Priority Pass Select Program.  The Plaza Premium Lounge in Vancouver Airport is one of those lounges.

Although I can get into every Priority Pass Select Lounge, the lounges vary as to rules about guests.  This lounge in the Vancouver airport, allowed me to bring in my spouse and 2 children.  They would not budge on the third kid.  But they did let us switch a kid out for Rob.  So while we were enjoying our private tv and hot breakfast, Rob was enjoying his alone time at the gate.  It was a win-win for everyone!

A huge shout out to CINDY GREENSTEIN, aka The Points Mom, for helping me book our flights to Greece using points. Money wise it would have cost $12k. I learned so much from her! Contact her. You will not be disappointed.
