You can now activate your 5% cash back/5 Ultimate Rewards points per $1 spent (up to $1,500) in bonus categories on your Freedom and Freedom Flex cards.
You need to activate by December 14, 2024, and you will get all points retroactively as long as you activate by 12/14. Do that here- Get Your Bonus.
The 4th quarter 2024 bonus categories are McDonald’s, PayPal, Pet Shops and Vet Services, and Select Charities.
I just googled this, and it looks like “select charities” are: American Red Cross, Equal Justice Initiatives, Feeding America, Habitat for Humanity, International Medical Corps, International Rescue Committee, Leadership Conference Education Fund, NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, National Urban League

The 5x on these new categories does not start until October 1, and the 3rd quarter 2024 ones keep going at 5x till 9/30/24 (up to $1500 spend).
And REMEMBER, once you hit $1500 in a given quarter, you go back down to 1x.
