Sometimes Rob makes some of our travel plans when he takes advantage of auction items at charity events.  Last year, he bid on and won a night at the Palace hotel.  He did this with my daughter Jessie in mind, as she is a huge Gossip Girl fan.  The Palace is the hotel in which some of the characters live.  (very realistic I know).

We needed to communicate with the hotel manager to redeem the certificate.  We told her about Jessie, Gossip Girl, etc.

Upon our arrival into our unbelievable room, with an incredible view, in the exclusive Towers section of the hotel, on the 52nd floor (our ears popped going up the elevators), we were greeted with a bottle of wine, a platter of fancy cakes and this card.  Jessie was really happy.  FullSizeRender

Although we did not have a bill for the room, we still had charges for breakfast in the morning and our hefty $85 parking fee.  How did we pay for these charges?  We used my Chase Sapphire Preferred card.  I used the Sapphire Preferred card because the payment was for travel/hotel and I earn 2x Chase Ultimate Rewards miles per $ spent on the room and on any of our additional charges at the resort.

I love my Chase Sapphire Preferred!!!!!

A huge shout out to CINDY GREENSTEIN, aka The Points Mom, for helping me book our flights to Greece using points. Money wise it would have cost $12k. I learned so much from her! Contact her. You will not be disappointed.
