When I have a destination in mind that I would like to travel to and stay on hotel points, I usually start with a google search.  My search would be something like “chain hotels in Reykjavík”, as I want to know those hotels that exist to book with points.

I can stop those google searches…

I recently discovered AwardMapper that allows you to put in a destination and then a map shows what chain hotels there are- in that location.  You can even refine your search for just one hotel brand by clicking on the dots next to the hotel chain.
