We are off to Europe for Christmas 2017.  Remember, we saved $2,700 on our British Air flights.  We will be spending our first 3 nights in Amsterdam and next 5 nights in Paris.

In Amsterdam, I booked 2 rooms at the Hyatt Andaz Amsterdam Prinsengracht.  Chase had numerous hotels on the Ultimate Rewards Travel site, but the Andaz was on sale and I have been wanting to try an Andaz anyhow.  Win-Win!

The cost for the 3 night stay was $2,482.38 for both rooms.  Redeeming my Chase points at the wonderful rate of 1.5 cents per point, I used 165,492 points for our stay.  Remember, I am always flush with Chase points because at this point I pretty much only use my Chase Sapphire Reserve and Chase Freedom Unlimited for almost all of our purchases and Rob uses his Chase Ink for business purchases.  Also, I did lose some value on the redemption but I was ok with that to not have to outlay $2,500. (165,492 Chase points are valued at about $3,300).

A huge shout out to CINDY GREENSTEIN, aka The Points Mom, for helping me book our flights to Greece using points. Money wise it would have cost $12k. I learned so much from her! Contact her. You will not be disappointed.
