The usual sign-up offers for the Chase  Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards Premier Card and the Chase Southwest Rapid Rewards Plus Card is to earn 40,000 Rapid Rewards BONUS POINTS.  This past summer, these bonus offers had been increased to 60,000 bonus points if you spend $2,000 in the first 3 months.  Note, unlike with some other bonus offers, the $99/$69 annual fee is not waived the first year.

There is some speculation that these increased bonus offers may be ending soon.  So if you can use Southwest points, you should act soon.

You earn Southwest Rapid Rewards points with the card and these the points can be used for free travel.

Don’t forget, with the card, you earn 2 miles per $1 spent on airline tickets and with  Rapid Rewards Hotel and Car Rental Partners and 1 mile per $1 spent on all other purchases made with your card.  Also you receive 6,000 points after your cardmember anniversary with the Premier card and 3,000 points after your cardmember anniversary with the Plus card.  With the Premier card, there are no foreign transaction fees.

Lastly, Southwest Airlines is a Chase Ultimate Rewards transfer partner.

A huge shout out to CINDY GREENSTEIN, aka The Points Mom, for helping me book our flights to Greece using points. Money wise it would have cost $12k. I learned so much from her! Contact her. You will not be disappointed.
