Below, I outline the main ways in which to earn and accumulate Choice Privileges points.

1. Visit a Choice Hotel and spend $

Earn 10 Points per $1 at Comfort Inn, Comfort Suites, Quality, Sleep Inn, Clarion, Cambria Suites and Ascend.  Earn 5 Points per $1 at MainStay Suites, Suburban, Econo Lodge and the Rodeway Inn.  In addition, elite members earn more– earn, Gold-10% point bonus, Platinum 25% point bonus, Diamond 50% point bonus.

2. Use your Choice Privileges Visa Signature Card

With this credit card, you earn 5 points per $1 spent at Choice Privileges locations, on additional Choice Privileges points or on Choice Hotels gift card purchases and earn 2 points per eligible $1 spent on other everyday purchases.

3. Transfer Points From Citi ThankYou Rewards

If you are a member of Citi Thank You Rewards (holding certain cards) you can transfer your Thank You Rewards points to your Choice Privileges account. At the time of this post, 1000 Citi Thank You Rewards points equal 2000 Choice Privileges Points if you have a Citi ThankYou Premier card or a Citi ThankYou Prestige card. If you have a Citi ThankYou Preferred card, you points transfer to Choice at a rate of 1:1.5.

4. Transfer Miles From Capital One

If you have a Capital One Venture Rewards Card or VentureOne Rewards Card, or on the business side, a Capital One Spark Miles Business Card or Capital One Spark Miles Select Business Card, you can transfer the miles earned on those cards to Choice Privileges at a rate of 1:1.

5. Earn Points with Choice Privileges partners

Earn Choice Privileges Points by booking a Bluegreen vacation, by booking certain cruises and car rentals, and  with certain memberships.
