With American AAdvantage Miles, your AAdvantage miles expire after 24 months of inactivity. Your miles also will not expire if you are the primary holder of an open AAdvantage credit card account associated with your AAdvantage account. AAdvantage made a change and now members under age 21 will be exempt from mileage expiration. The 18 month expiration clock will begin on the day the member turns 21.
