Sometimes there will be offers to use certain cards at certain vendors to receive extra bonus points. For example, I just received an offer through my American Express Everyday Preferred card to earn 2x American Express Membership Rewards points if I use the card to shop at Amazon. It is annoying, but I will certainly log into my Amazon account and change my method of payment to this Amex. (Right now my American Express Starwood Preferred Guest card is my default card in Amazon). I am following the rewards even if it takes a tiny bit (like 5 minutes if that) of work. Do it too!
