Learn More About Chase Ultimate Rewards Here

We are headed to Park City, UT for winter break, 2018.  We used Chase Ultimate Rewards points for our flights.

The Delta Airlines flights that I booked cost $490 each for direct flights in and out of Philly.  We use Philly sometimes when the price is much less than flying in and out of New York and this was the case here.  The New York/Salt Lake City prices were astronomical!  Remember, traveling for free often requires flexibility.

For each $490 flight, I needed 32,693 Ultimate Rewards points.  Points can be redeemed for travel through the Ultimate Rewards site at a value of .015 cents per point when you have a Chase Sapphire Reserve card, like I do.  ($490/.015)

So I saved $2,452 ($490.4 X5) using Chase points.  Also note, since I booked through the Chase site, I will still earn Delta SkyMiles on the flights because my travel counts as a paid fare.

One last thing, I completely depleted my Chase Ultimate Rewards points booking these flights.  But I use my Chase cards all the time.  I am sure my balance will be flush once again quite soon…..

A huge shout out to CINDY GREENSTEIN, aka The Points Mom, for helping me book our flights to Greece using points. Money wise it would have cost $12k. I learned so much from her! Contact her. You will not be disappointed.
