IMG 3123 e1573485942296One of the nicest things about having reserves of hotel points is the ability to plan impromptu stays FOR FREE. That is  exactly what I did on a recent nigh’t stay at the Park Hyatt in NYC.

My mom and my sister live in NJ, me in Westchester, NY.  We had tickets to Wicked (purchased on the Citi ThankYou Premier card where I got 2x points on my entertainment purchase).  Why not make a night out of it!

I secured us a room for a mere 30,000 World of Hyatt points at the Park Hyatt on 57th St (between 5th and 6th).  This hotel was VERY VERY nice and the room was VERY VERY big for the 30,000 points.   The cost of the room would have been $945 (on a random Wednesday!).   This to me was a great use of 30,000 points.

I gotta say, World Of Hyatt is really moving up for me in terms of my favorite hotel loyalty programs, especially after Bonvoy’s switch to dynamic pricing and my amazing Hyatt stays in Milan this past summer and Amsterdam in 2017.

I am excited to start exploring more Hyatt options in the future!

... I saved $700 in annual fees and scored 120,000 worth of bonus points. I also got $100 off a pair of fancy headphones and $200 worth of airline gift cards. ....

A huge shout out to CINDY GREENSTEIN, aka The Points Mom, for helping me book our flights to Greece using points. Money wise it would have cost $12k. I learned so much from her! Contact her. You will not be disappointed.
