I recently posted about how I Downgraded Rob’s Chase United MileagePlus Explorer Card to a no fee United MileagePlus Card.  Recall that I was able to do this in lieu of canceling the card when the annual fee became due.

However, I waited too long to call.  I called a day or 2 the fee was due (a few weeks after I got the statement) and I needed to pay a prorated portion of the $95 annual fee.  I paid about $8.00, the prorated amount of the annual fee for a month’s time.  Next time I will call earlier.

A huge shout out to CINDY GREENSTEIN, aka The Points Mom, for helping me book our flights to Greece using points. Money wise it would have cost $12k. I learned so much from her! Contact her. You will not be disappointed.
