Hilton made a number of changes to its hotel loyalty program.  To start, it changed its name from Hilton HHonors to Hilton Honors.  Yay, no more autocorrect!

In addition, Hilton Honors made the following additional changes…

  1. Amazon-Starting this summer, Hilton Honors members will be able to use their Points to purchase products on Amazon.com.
  2. Points & Money Slider-Members can choose how many points (in any amount) they want to redeem towards a room and use cash for the rest.
  3. Pooling-Beginning in April, Hilton Honors members will be able to pool their Points with up to 10 friends or family members for free.  A total of 11 members can pool their Points.
  4. Diamond Member Status Extension-Beginning in March, eligible Diamond members may receive a one-time, one-year extension of their status – for any reason.

Personally, I find the pooling and slider very beneficial, especially when other hotel programs have neither of these features.  I look forward to taking advantage of both of these tools in the future.  Thanks Hilton Honors!

A huge shout out to CINDY GREENSTEIN, aka The Points Mom, for helping me book our flights to Greece using points. Money wise it would have cost $12k. I learned so much from her! Contact her. You will not be disappointed.
