If You Have Elite Status At Hotels, You Earn Bonus Points On Stays

If you have the ability to earn elite status at a hotel brand that you are partial to and stay in often, earn it!  Reason being, with many of the hotel loyalty programs, as an elite hotel member, you earn bonus points in addition to the base points you earn on your stays.  Here is a breakdown of the bonus points you can earn on stays as an elite member in some of the programs….

iPrefer Elite Status– Earn More Points As An Elite Member

Insider 10 points per $1, Elite 15 points per $1

IHG Rewards Elite Status– Bonus On Base Points

Gold 10% point bonus, Platinum 50% point bonus, Spire, 100% point bonus

Marriott Rewards Elite Status– Bonus On Base Points…

Silver 20% point bonus, Gold 25% point bonus, Platinum  50% point bonus 

Ritz Carlton Rewards Elite Status– Bonus on Base Points…

Silver 20% point bonus, Gold 25% point bonus, Platinum 50% point bonus

Starwood Preferred Guest Elite Status-Earn More Points As An Elite Member

Gold and Platinum members receive three (3) Starpoints for each dollar spent unlike the regular Preferred members that receive (2) points.
