The usual bonus for the Chase Sapphire Reserve card is to earn 50,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards BONUS POINTS offer after you spend $4,000 in the first 3 months. However, this offer has been increased to 60,000 points with the same spend requirement.
This card has a hefty annual fee of $550 and additional cardholder fees of $75. However, it has a lot of good benefits.
You earn 3 points per $1 on Dining and 3 points per $1 on travel like airfare, hotels, cruises, rental cars, travel agencies, train tickets, taxis, tolls and more. (Click here for a complete definition of travel from Chase)
Also, You earn 5x points per $1 on Lyft rides through March 2022.
And in addition to earning 2 points per dollar at restaurants and on travel, you’ll earn 1 point for every dollar you spend on all your other purchases.
Each anniversary year, automatically receive up to $300 in statement credits as reimbursement for travel-related purchases charged to your card. Note, you do not earn points on the travel purchases that are credited by the $300. Through June 30, 2021, gas station and grocery store purchases will also count towards earning your $300 Annual Travel Credit – and will in fact both earn points as well.
You can enroll in Priority Pass Select at no additional cost. This program gives you access to numerous airport lounges that are part of the Priority Pass Select Program. You can bring in a maximum of two accompanying guests. For any additional guests, your card will be charged $27 per guest, per visit.
Receive a statement credit of up to $100 every 4 years as reimbursement for the application fee charged to your card for Global Entry or TSA Pre√
My favorite benefit-When you use points to redeem for cash, each point is worth $.01 (one cent), which means that 100 points equals $1 in redemption value. However, each point you redeem for travel booked through Chase Ultimate Rewards is worth $.0150 (one and a half cents), which means that 100 points equals $1.50 in redemption value, and points are worth 50% more than if redeemed for cash. For example, a $750 flight (or other travel purchase booked on the Chase Ultimate Rewards site) requires 50,000 points. You can earn $60 in DoorDash Statement Credits through 12/31/2021. Statement credits will automatically be applied to your account when you make qualifying DoorDash purchases, up to an annual (calendar year) maximum of $60.
You can activate Lyft Pink for a free 1-year membership. Note, you have to activate the Lyft Pink benefit by March 31, 2022 and your free year will start on your activation date so plan accordingly.
You pay no foreign transaction fees when you use your card on purchases made outside the United States.
If you add your card as the default payment method in DoorDash you gain access to a complimentary DashPass membership for one year. The membership offers free delivery and lower service fees. Note, you need to activate by December 31, 2021 your free year will start on your activation date so plan accordingly.
