Learn About EL AL’s Matmid Program Here

At the end of 2014, JetBlue Airways and EL AL Israel Airlines signed a codeshare agreement.  The agreement  provides travelers, to and from Israel, with expanded options and easier connections.  Specifically, travelers flying from 38 JetBlue USA cities can now experience convenient connections to their EL AL nonstop flight to/from Israel.

For example, luggage is automatically transferred between the JetBlue and EL AL flights, Matmid frequent flyer points are earned on the JetBlue domestic flights and passengers need only purchase one ticket through one transaction for travel between their home city and Israel. In addition, on the day of travel, upon checking in, passengers receive boarding cards for both carriers’ flights. The EL AL code (LY) appears on flight information screens at all 38 designated airports for the JetBlue/EL AL flights (via JFK and Newark/Liberty International Airports).

A huge shout out to CINDY GREENSTEIN, aka The Points Mom, for helping me book our flights to Greece using points. Money wise it would have cost $12k. I learned so much from her! Contact her. You will not be disappointed.
