I Just Scored A 10,000 Amex Point Retention Bonus With A Phone Call

As I posted about recently, I am questioning whether it is worth it to keep my American Express Business Platinum card in light of the fact that I just got the Chase Sapphire Reserve, with what I deem to be better benefits.  I called Amex to discuss this with them. To keep me, at least through December, (when my $450 annual fee becomes due again), they offered me 10,000 American Express Membership Rewards points as a retention bonus.  Thx Amex!  I will be back in touch again in a few months when I need to decide whether to pay my annual fee.
