I Am Justified In Not Keeping Track Of Rewards Due…Especially With Amex!

I have to admit, I used to ensure that I earned the correct amount of rewards based on my spending.  For example, I would check to make sure I earned 4x American Express Membership Rewards points on dining with my American Express Gold card, 3x Chase Ultimate Rewards points on travel charges with my Chase Sapphire Reserve, etc.   Another item I used to check was making sure that Rob was earning 3x Amex points on the advertising charges that he pays for his law firm.  I am too busy!  I left it in the hands of the banks to ensure us proper credit and have stopped checking.

And I now feel good about this decision!  Rob got the above letter from Amex.  They missed the 3x earning for his advertising charges and adjusted Rob’s Membership Rewards account by about 25,000 points.  They were completely on top of it and notified us of the mistake. I was clueless that the points never posted.

Amex!  Thank you for being so diligent about correcting your mistakes.  I am reminded again, that we are in good hands!

A huge shout out to CINDY GREENSTEIN, aka The Points Mom, for helping me book our flights to Greece using points. Money wise it would have cost $12k. I learned so much from her! Contact her. You will not be disappointed.
