Apply for the Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant American Express Card Here

There is an increased offer for the Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant American Express Card. You can earn 100,000 bonus points after you use your new Card to make $5,000 in purchases within the first 3 months. APPLY FOR THE CARD HERE. The offer is available till April 8, 2020.   (The standard offer is 75,000 points).

However, be careful, you cannot get this bonus offer if you

  1. Have or have had this product or the Starwood Preferred Guest American Express Luxury Card-this knocks me out, I got this card awhile back.
  2. Have or have had The Ritz-Carlton Credit Card or the Ritz-Carlton Rewards Credit Card in the last 30 days
  3. Have acquired the Chase Marriott Bonvoy Boundless, the Chase Marriott Rewards Premier Plus Credit Card, the Chase Marriott Bonvoy Premier, the Chase Marriott Rewards Premier Credit Card, the Chase Marriott Bonvoy Premier Business or the Chase Marriott Rewards Premier Plus Business Credit Card in the last 90 days-thisknocks me out too.
  4. Have received a new Card Member bonus or upgrade offer for the Chase Marriott Bonvoy Boundless, Chase Marriott Rewards Premier Plus Credit Card, the Chase Marriott Bonvoy Premier, the Chase Marriott Rewards Premier Credit Card, the Chase Marriott Bonvoy Premier Plus Business or the Chase Marriott Rewards Premier Plus Business Credit Card in the last 24 months.

In addition, before you apply, make sure your ability to get the sign-up bonus is not limited by American Express lifetime language or the 5 card rule or the 90 day rule or the other factors language.

The annual fee is high at $450.  But the card has a number of benefits. Two of my favorite benefits are the $300 Marriott Bonvoy Rewards Statement Credit and the Free Night Award.

$300 statement credit-You receive up to $300 in statement credits each year of Card Membership for eligible purchases at Marriott Bonvoy hotels.  These purchases can include room rate. Incidental charges (including charges made at restaurants, spas and other establishments within the hotel property) must be charged to your room and paid for with your Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant American Express Card at checkout. However, I do not think you need to be staying at the resort to get the credit, read why here.

Free Night Award-Receive 1 Free Night Award every year after your Card account anniversary. The Award can be used for one night (redemption level at or under 50,000 points) at a participating hotel.

As for earning, you earn as follows:

1. Earn 6 Points per $1 spent at Marriott Bonvoy Resorts

2. Earn 3 Points per $1 spent at U.S. restaurants and on flights booked directly with airlines.

2. Earn 2 Points for every dollar you spend on all your other purchases.

In addition, you pay no foreign transaction fees when you use your card on purchases made outside the United States. You receive complimentary Gold Elite status with your Card. Earn Platinum Elite status after spending $75,000 or more in eligible purchases on your Card in a calendar year. When you open this card, you will be credited with 15 Elite Night credits within 60 days. Each year after, you will get 15 Elite Night credits as long as your Card Account is open as of December 31 of the prior calendar year. If you have more than one Marriott Bonvoy card, you will receive only 15 nights with just one of the cards. You can read about Elite Status here.

You are automatically enrolled in Priority Pass Select and you receive complimentary lounge visits for you and up to 2 guests per visit.  Note, you need to enroll in Priority Pass Select within your Amex online account.

You receive one Global Entry ($100) statement credit or one TSA Pre✓ ($85) statement credit every 4 years for an application fee charged to your card.

You get a $100 credit for qualifying dining, spa or other hotel recreational activities at the Ritz Carlton or St. Regis when you book direct using a special rate (called $100 Property Credit, Luxury Credit Card Rate) for a 2 night minimum stay.

A huge shout out to CINDY GREENSTEIN, aka The Points Mom, for helping me book our flights to Greece using points. Money wise it would have cost $12k. I learned so much from her! Contact her. You will not be disappointed.
