The Capital One Venture Rewards Card is for a limited time, offering a bonus of 75,000 Venture Rewards Miles (previously 50,000) once you spend $5,000 on purchases within the first 3 months from account opening. I have never seen the bonus for this card so high.

Recall, with the card there is $0 Introductory Annual Fee the first year, then $95. You earn unlimited 2X miles on every purchase and as of this past summer, you can earn 10x hotels.com/venture through January 31, 2020. You pay no foreign transaction fees when you use your card on purchases made outside the United States. You receive one Global Entry ($100) statement credit or one TSA Pre✓ ($85) statement credit every 4 years for an application fee charged to your card.  You can redeem your miles using the purchase eraser feature and as of the other day, come December, you will be able to transfer your Cap One Miles to 12 airline partners.

I have to admit, this is the one card that I have really wanted that has eluded me.  I have applied over the years and have never been approved.  Despite my very high credit score, Capital One consistently states the reason for my rejection is that I have too many other outstanding accounts.  I want it even more now, and I haven’t applied in awhile.  Maybe I will take another shot soon.

Regardless, this 75,000 bonus is worth at least $750 and possibly even more if you use the new transfer feature.  Capital One Miles are flexible rewards.  However, you need excellent credit to be approved.  Good luck if you go for it and don’t tell me if you get it.  I don’t want to be jealous!

A huge shout out to CINDY GREENSTEIN, aka The Points Mom, for helping me book our flights to Greece using points. Money wise it would have cost $12k. I learned so much from her! Contact her. You will not be disappointed.
