A friend of mine just booked the Westin Hilton Head Island Resort & Spa. She booked 5 nights and almost had enough SPG points to get 3/5 of these nights on points. She was short 6,000 points.
She is an American Express Starwood Preferred Guest card holder. She decided to called Amex to explore her options and possibly even get a points advance to make up the 6,000 points shortfall.
Well there was no need for the advance at all. Amex gave her 6,000 SPG points, FOR NO REASON. Lucky her!! Maybe I will try this in the future. 🙂
