Benefits For Silver, Gold and Platinum
Earning Points on Stays
Silver members will receive a 20% point bonus on the base points earned on their stay. Read here about how I earned an extra 11,704 Marriott Rewards points on our recent stay at the Atlantis.
Gold members will receive a 25% point bonus on the base points earned on their stay.
Platinum members will receive a 50% point bonus on the base points earned on their stay.
Note these bonuses do not apply to non-stay charges at the property (think restaurant, spa, etc.)
Weekend Rate Discount
Get a 10% discount on the regular room rate for Friday and Saturday night stays at participating Courtyard by Marriott and SpringHill Suites by Marriott locations. Rates vary from hotel to hotel. Weekend rate discounts are not valid with any other discount or on upgraded rooms at Courtyard by Marriott, and may not be available during certain special events.
Marriott Gift Shop Discount
Get a 10% discount on retail merchandise. (Membership Card must be presented to obtain discount).
Ritz-Carlton Shop Discount
10% discount on The Ritz-Carlton branded merchandise, excluding sundries, purchased at The Ritz-Carlton Gift Shops on property (Membership Card must be presented to obtain discount).

Note-In Europe, hotels without a Lounge offer a daily choice of breakfast for two in the restaurant or 750 points. This benefit is not applicable when breakfast is included in the rate. In the U.S. and Canada: any time the Lounge isn’t open, Platinum and Gold Elite members are entitled to a daily choice of continental breakfast for two in the restaurant or 750 points. A limited number of hotels in the U.S. do not provide free continental breakfast in the hotel restaurant in the event the Lounge is closed, but do offer 1,000 points in lieu of breakfast.
If complimentary continental breakfast (or exceptions as outlined above) is not offered, Elite members will be compensated $100 USD for the inconvenience.
Complimentary Room Upgrade
Based on room availability at check-in and limited to a Member’s personal guestroom. Upgrades may include rooms with desirable views, rooms on high floors, corner rooms, rooms with special amenities, rooms on Executive Floors, or suites. All upgrades are granted on a space-available basis, as determined at the time of check-in. Upgrades are subject to availability and identified by each hotel.
