As we know from prior posts, a merchant may require a credit card minimum of $10. My dry cleaner has a big sign on the register that states that there is a $10 minimum to use a credit card.
I recently brought one of my husband’s shirts into the dry cleaner. When I went to pick it up, the sales person rang up a charge of $4.00. I reluctantly took $4.00 out of my wallet. However, I chided myself on how I should never bring just one item to the dry cleaner, but wait until there were more items to bring, items that would least yield a charge of at least $10! Lesson learned!
