I have had about 12,000 World Of Hyatt points sitting in my account for a long time.  I usually don’t gravitate towards Hyatt when I am booking hotels and looking for reward stays. However, that will likely change as I just got the Chase Hyatt Visa card!

Regardless, I used 10,000 of these 12,000 points on a 4 night stay at the NEW Hyatt Place in St. Petersburg, FL that is in walking distance to the pool for my daughter’s swim meet.  Each night cost 2500 points plus $50.  The Hyatt is a Category 1 property.

A quick search revealed that the room would cost 225 per night so the 4 nights would run $900.  In my mind, I saved $700.

A huge shout out to CINDY GREENSTEIN, aka The Points Mom, for helping me book our flights to Greece using points. Money wise it would have cost $12k. I learned so much from her! Contact her. You will not be disappointed.
