Although you cannot share and transfer KrisFlyer Miles, you can use your miles for people you know. You have the ability to pick up to five people as your redemption nominees, and use your KrisFlyer miles for them for flights and upgrades.

Anyone can be your redemption nominee. However, once you add someone, you can’t change them for six months. Note that adding names is free, but for deleting them, there is a fee.

Also, if you have kids under 16, they can transfer their miles to you as the parent. You need to link your child’s KrisFlyer account to yours and then you can transfer up to 50,000 miles per year from your child’s account to yours. But note, for every 5,000 KrisFlyer miles (or less) transferred from your child’s account, you will be charged a fee of USD 5 or 500 miles. You can learn more about these family accounts here.

A huge shout out to CINDY GREENSTEIN, aka The Points Mom, for helping me book our flights to Greece using points. Money wise it would have cost $12k. I learned so much from her! Contact her. You will not be disappointed.
