I am currently in Cary, North Carolina.  I came down for a swim meet with my daughter.  Getting down here was quite inexpensive (the flights were about $120 a piece and the hotel about $80 per night), so I did not even attempt to try to use miles or points for this mini trip.

I currently just posted about SPG/Delta Crossover Rewards, and realized I could have earned SPG points on my paid Delta flight.  So I registered.  Unfortunately, the terms indicate that I must register for Crossover Rewards at least 48 hours prior to taking my Delta Flight to earn the Starpoints.  I missed the deadline and thus did not earn the points.  🙁

However, I did register on time to earn SPG points on my Delta flight to Hawaii, coming up in a week.  🙂  Don’t forget, I booked these points through Chase Travel using Chase Ultimate Rewards, so for the purposes of earning Delta SkyMiles and now SPG points, this flight is considered a paid for flight.

A huge shout out to CINDY GREENSTEIN, aka The Points Mom, for helping me book our flights to Greece using points. Money wise it would have cost $12k. I learned so much from her! Contact her. You will not be disappointed.
