Sometimes Rob makes some of our travel plans when he takes advantage of auction items at charity events. Last year, he bid on and won a night at the Palace hotel.  This year, he bid $600 and won 4 tickets to the Yankee Red Sox game in a suite at Fenway.  The package had a $1,200 value.  Nice Rob!!

Yankees won!  And after the game, we stayed for free of course on Starwood points at the Sheraton Boston Hotel.  This resort is a Starwood Resort and a SPG Category 5.  We stayed the night for 12,000 Starpoints.  The rooms run about $320 per night.

I just want to note that based on the price of the room, economically, we may have been better off just paying for the room instead of using 12,000 Starpoints.  However, we had already spent $600 on the tickets.  I wanted us to stay for free and we did!!

A huge shout out to CINDY GREENSTEIN, aka The Points Mom, for helping me book our flights to Greece using points. Money wise it would have cost $12k. I learned so much from her! Contact her. You will not be disappointed.
