I want to go too!  Jessie will stay home with my sister-in-law for a basketball tourney and I am going to Park City with Rob and my boys over MLK weekend.  Just like their flights to Park City, I used Chase Ultimate Rewards points for my flight as well.

I am flying separate and to make the times work with their flight, I booked 2 one way tickets.  The total cost had I paid for my direct flights would have been $721.  Instead I used 48,080 Ultimate Rewards points for my flight.

If we analyze value in terms of Chase points being worth about $.02 per point, I used $961.60 in value for my $721 flight.  But I am ok with that. I wanted to go, I did not want to pay, and I am flush with Chase Ultimate Rewards points right now because of my recent acquisitions namely, the Chase Sapphire Reserve card and the Chase Freedom Unlimited card.  This Freedom Unlimited is my new go to card for much of my spending.  I love earning 1.5 points per $1 on my non-category spend!!  I am not to worried about my Ultimate Rewards balance.  It will be replenished again soon!

A huge shout out to CINDY GREENSTEIN, aka The Points Mom, for helping me book our flights to Greece using points. Money wise it would have cost $12k. I learned so much from her! Contact her. You will not be disappointed.
