The Picture I Took Of Rob At Lowe’s Was A Waste

We are doing some home improvements and we needed some supplies.  I knew we were going to Lowe’s this weekend so I logged into Amex and looked quickly for any offer for shopping at Lowe’s.  Sure enough there was one where we could earn 2x American Express Membership Rewards Points per $1 spent.

I added the offer to Rob’s new Amex Business Platinum card. It was the perfect card to add it to, as he is in the midst of going for the minimum spend for his 100,000 point bonus. We shopped at Lowe’s yesterday and I made Rob pose for this silly picture holding up his Amex Business Platinum. Look closely, you can see it.

Well silly me! When I went to post about our bonus points this morning, I read the terms more closely and saw that the offer is only for shopping online at Lowes.com. Oh well, but see I still make mistakes too.  At least Rob added some more spending on his Amex that will count towards securing that sign up bonus.  Albeit, at only a 1:1 ratio. 🙁

A huge shout out to CINDY GREENSTEIN, aka The Points Mom, for helping me book our flights to Greece using points. Money wise it would have cost $12k. I learned so much from her! Contact her. You will not be disappointed.
