An easy way to rack up lots of points and miles is to shop through loyalty programs’ online shopping portals. If you are going to shop anyway, why not do it through a shopping portal. After all, how much easier is it to shop from the comfort of you home? (At least it is for me)
Most of these shopping portals offer a greater than 1:1 ratio of points/miles per $1 spent and the rates differ by vendor. I usually find out about these bonuses via an email from the loyalty program. Note, you need to be a member of the loyalty program to use their shopping portal.
