Barclays miles are earned with a Barclays Arrival credit card. Once you have earned the miles, how do you then use the miles for free travel? The options are listed below. Book travel and redeem your miles for a statement credit
Book the travel you want with your Barclaycard Arrival card and then choose any travel purchase within the last 120 days and redeem your miles for a travel statement credit toward all or a portion of your travel purchases. Note, you can only redeem against a transaction one time. Also, the rules differ a bit with respect to what Arrival Card you have.
Barclays Arrival Plus World Elite MasterCard -Redeem your miles for travel statement credits, starting at 10,000 miles for $100 toward all or a portion of your qualifying travel purchase of $100 or more made within the last 120 days.
Barclays Arrival World MasterCard-Redeem your miles for travel statement credits, starting at 2,500 miles for $25 toward all or a portion of your qualifying travel purchase of $25 or more made within the last 120 days.
Once you redeem your miles for a travel statement credit, the credit will be posted to your Account within 5 to 7 business days.
A travel purchase is defined as: airlines, hotels, motels, timeshares, campgrounds, car rental agencies, cruise lines, travel agencies, discount travel sites, trains, buses, taxis, limousines, and ferries as defined by the merchant category code.
GET 5% OF YOUR MILES BACK every time you redeem for travel statement credits. So for example, if you redeem 60,000 miles you get 3,000 miles back. Travel redemption bonus miles are added to your account within one business day after your travel redemption is processed.
