Now that you have accumulated all of these World Of Hyatt Points, how can you use these Hyatt points for free travel?  The options are listed below.  Also read about how The Points Mom used World Of Hyatt Points (then known as Hyatt Gold Passport points) for free travel in Lake Tahoe, FloridaDenverSt. PeteMilanSingapore , NYC, Santorini  and Los Angeles.

1. Redeem Points For Free Nights

You can redeem your World Of Hyatt Points for free nights. The number of points you need, depends on the Hotel Category and the type of accommodations you select (standard room, club room, suite, etc).  You can access the table here to see point requirements.  You can also use your points to redeem free nights in Las Vegas at M life Resorts and at all inclusive resorts in Mexico and Jamaica.  On November 1, 2018, you will get the ability to use your points for free nights in premium suites (before you could only use points for standard suites) and without a minimum length of stay for free nights in suites.

2. Use Points For Room Upgrades

You can use your points to upgrade in combination with your paid nights.  An upgrade to a Regency/Grand Club room is 3,000 points.  An upgrade to a suite is 6,000 points. As of November 1, 2018, you can upgrade to a premium suite for 9,000 points. Some exceptions apply.

3.  Use Points + Cash For Nights

If you don’t have enough points, consider booking with Cash + Points Combining Points + Cash will require 50% of the points required for a free night and 30%-50% of the Standard Rate.  You can book using cash + points up to the standard and premium suite levels.

4.  Convert Points To Airline Miles

In general, you receive 1 mile for every 2.5 World Of Hyatt points you convert, starting with a minimum of 5,000 World Of Hyatt points.  Not a great exchange rate.  You earn 5,000 Bonus Miles when you convert 50,000 World Of Hyatt points.  Still not worth it, IMO.

 5.  Use Points For Car Rental Rewards

Car Rental Awards can be redeemed at participating Avis car rental locations.  A Free Intermediate-size Car for One Day requires 6,000 points.  To reserve a Car Rental Award, call 1-800-228-3360.

6.  Use Points For Dining, Spa, Other Hotel Services

You can redeem your World Of Hyatt points for dining and spa experiences at participating hotels, even when you’re not staying the night.  You can also redeem your points for in-room movies, parking, transportation and more at participating locations.  You redeem your points during checkout.

A huge shout out to CINDY GREENSTEIN, aka The Points Mom, for helping me book our flights to Greece using points. Money wise it would have cost $12k. I learned so much from her! Contact her. You will not be disappointed.
