The American Airlines AAdvantage program’s terms indicate that accrued mileage is not transferable by the member upon death.  But then goes on to say that however, “American Airlines, in its sole discretion, may credit accrued mileage to persons specifically identified in wills upon receipt of documentation satisfactory to American Airlines and upon payment of any applicable fees.”

So, yes American Airlines AAdvantage miles do transfer upon death!

A huge shout out to CINDY GREENSTEIN, aka The Points Mom, for helping me book our flights to Greece using points. Money wise it would have cost $12k. I learned so much from her! Contact her. You will not be disappointed.
